ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Clinic held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 25th. The meeting theme was Working for Change.
Before the business meeting there were several presentations.
One highlight was the presentation of our official designation as a bilingual clinic.
Marcel Castonguay reminded those assembled of the importance of this designation.
Service awards were presented to staff and appreciation awards to Board and volunteers.
Marcel Castonguay, Director of Centre de sante communautaire Hamilton /Niagara, became only the second individual to receive an Honourary membership in the Clinic.
A power point presentation focussing on the last years achievements closed the first part of the meeting.
After a break for refreshments the formal part of the AGM was called to order by Board President
Sandi Bell. Board members confirmed as elected for the next year were:

Board of Directors
Board members share the goals of the clinic in serving the diverse legal needs of low income Hamiltonians. The Board is responsible to the community for the services provided by the clinic. The Board is also responsible to Legal Aid Ontario for the use of funding dollars.
Clinic Staff
Our clinic is staffed by lawyers, community legal workers, support staff, community development workers and volunteers. The Executive Director is Hugh Tye.
